COLUMBIA, SC (October 27, 2022) — Senior midfielder Faith Sparks scored two goals to lift the South Carolina State Lady Bulldogs to an ,6-0, shutout win over host Allen Thursday (Oct.27th) at Southeastern Freight Lines Soccer Complex.
SC State improves to 2-17 overall, giving Interim head coach Liz-Amanda Brown her second win since taking over the winless program midway through the season.
Freshman Annika Daniel posted her best outing of the season with five shots at goal and two (2) goals made in 68 minutes of play. Jordan Harris and Alexis Robinson added a goal each in the win.
South Carolina State finished with a season-high 23 shots at goal. Allen was led by goalkeeper Jaden Keys with 17 saves in 90 minutes of play.
NEXT UP: The Lady Bulldogs wrap up the season at home Saturday, Oct. 29th versus USC-Beaufort on “Senior Day” at O.C. Dawson Stadium| Willie Jeffries Field. Four student-athletes will be honored in a pre-game ceremony before the 2 p.m. start.
