Kobe Miller at USC Aiken

ORANGEBURG, SC (April 1, 2023) – The Claflin Panthers (0-26, 0-16 PBC) had to battle some tough weather and a talented opposing team in an 11-0 loss to the USC Aiken Pacers (21-11, 13-3 PBC), Saturday morning. The Panthers showed some signs of strong play in the game, but the team could not find their groove in the loss.

The Panthers struggled at the plate throughout the game. As a team, the Panthers totaled five hits with sophomore outfielder Kobe Miller led the way when he went two-for-three at the plate with a double. Senior third base Da’Avion Sumpter also went two-for-three. Senior outfielder Rufus Hurdle, Jr. added a double of his own.

With the loss, the Panthers fall to 0-26 overall and 0-16 in Peach Belt Conference play. The two teams would go on to complete the doubleheader later in the day.
