SAINT AUGUSTINE’S, FL (April 22, 2023) – The hits and runs were hard to come by for the Claflin Panthers (1-36, 0-25 PBC), Friday evening. The Panthers played some solid defense in the game, the team could not get things going at the plate in the tough loss.

As a team, the Panthers totaled four hits in the game. Junior outfielder Kobe Miller, senior first base MacKenze Gay, sophomore short stop Joshua Cooper, and freshman designated hitter Alvee Fulwood each recorded a hit each in the game. The Panthers also drew no walks in the game.

Claflin senior Kyle Hawkins (0-12) got the start and finished the game with the pitching loss. He threw all eight innings of the game and he finished with one strikeout with four earned runs allowed.
