Jasmyn Jeffries vs. North Greenville

ORANGEBURG, SC (November 29, 2023) – The Claflin Lady Panthers (2-2) showed some flashes, but the team could never get into full gear when the team took an 85-61 loss to the Coker Cobras (5-1), Wednesday evening. The combination of turnovers and some shooting woes turned out to be too much for the Lady Panthers to overcome in the tough loss.

As a team, the Lady Panthers had several struggles in the game. The Lady Panthers shot just 33.3% (17-of-51) from their home floor in the loss to go along with 25 turnovers. Claflin junior guard Lauren Scott led the way for the team with 11 points in the game. Senior forward Destiny Coleman added 10 points with a game-high six rebounds. Sophomore guard Ariel Lucas added nine points in the game as well.

With the loss, the Lady Panthers fall to 2-2 overall. The team will break for about a week before opening Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play next Thursday against the Virginia Union Panthers.
