ORANGEBURG, SC (February 17, 2024)- The Claflin Lady Panthers (16-8, 10-6 CIAA) put on a shooting clinic when the team took a 75-61 win over the Saint Augustine’s Falcons (13-11, 7-9 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Lady Panthers shot a scorching hot shooting performance, knocking down 13 three-pointers to lead the team to the win.

The hot shooting effort was just a part of the terrific overall effort by the Lady Panthers. The team was led by the trio of junior guard Lauren Scott, senior guard Nya Morris, and redshirt-sophomore forward Leigha Harris, who combined for 47 of the team’s 75 points. Scott led the way with 19 points in the game, hitting five three-pointers along the way. Morris added 15 points and eight assists with six rebounds while Harris added 13 points with five rebounds and a pair of three-pointers of her own.

With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 16-8 overall and 10-6 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team also improves to 8-1 in CIAA Southern Division play. The team will have a chance to claim the top spot in the division when they host the Fayetteville State Broncos, Wednesday.
