SALEM, WV (August 1, 2023) – The Claflin Lady Panthers (1-0) opened the 2023 season in grand fashion when the team took a three-set win over the Salem Tigers (0-1). It was a balanced attack that led the Lady Panthers to the 25-22, 25-19, and 25-17 victory.
The Lady Panthers controlled every aspect of the match. Senior opposite side hitter Kyndall Perry led the way with nine kills, three service aces, and 13 digs in the match. Senior middle blocker Taneja Robinson added six kills and one total block (one solo).
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 1-0 to start the season. The team will return to the road or their next action as the team will head to Laurinburg, North Carolina to take on the St. Andrews Christian Knights.
