Destiny/Jasmyn vs. Paine

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (February 10, 2024) – The Claflin Lady Panthers (14-8, 8-6 CIAA) took their 10th win in their last 11 games when the team took a 67-58 road win over the Winston-Salem State Rams (8-16, 2-12 CIAA), Saturday. The Lady Panthers controlled every aspect of the defensive game to claim the win.

As a team, the Lady Panthers had to work hard, but they came out on top for the win. The Lady Panthers shot an impressive 44.4% (24-of-54) from the floor in the hard-fought game. Claflin senior guard Nya Morris led the way with 17 points in the game. Fellow senior Destiny Coleman nearly added a near double-double. She scored a season-high 17 points with nine rebounds in the game.

With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 14-8 overall and 8-6 in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play. The team will return to action, Wednesday, when they head to Raleigh, North Carolina to take on the Shaw Lady Bears.
