ROCK HILL, SC—South Carolina State women’s basketball team fell shot in a tough, 61-38 setback to host Winthrop Saturday (Dec. 3rd) inside Winthrop Coliseum.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 0-10 on the season, while Winthrop improves to 2-7.
Nadia Reese led the way with a team-high eight points, while Janiah Hinton added seven points and six rebounds in the loss. Forward Jayah Hicks grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, while Lovely Sonnier chipped in six.
Next up South Carolina State will host back-to-back contests with UNC-Greensboro on Monday, Dec. 12th at 5:30 p.m. and Alabama A&M on Sunday, Dec.18th at 2 p.m.in Orangeburg, SC.
