PRINCESS ANNE, MD (January 22, 2022) —All-MEAC performer Trinity Klock led the way with a game-high 15 points to lead South Carolina State to an, 54-50, win over host Maryland-Eastern Shore Saturday (Jan. 22nd) at W.P. Htyche Arena.
Freshman guard Nicole Gwynn added 11 points and seven (7) rebounds, while teammates sophomore guard Nadia Reese chipped in 10 points and five (5) rebounds along with Briauna Thompson grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds and four (4) blocks in the win.
Despite the lofty 20 turnovers in the game, the Lady Bulldogs led the way in bench points (31-20), blocks (7-2), and On Court points (45-28).
South Carolina State improves to 2-0 in league play, while the Hawks fall to 0-2 in the MEAC.

South Carolina State will continue MEAC play on the road a t Dover, DE against Delaware State Monday (Jan.24th) in a 5:30 p.m. start for the women, followed by a 7:30 p.m. tip for the men.
