ORANGEBURG, SC (February 20, 2022) — All-MEAC performer sophomore forward Trinity Klock tossed in a team-high 16 points and eight rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as South Carolina State fell short 65-57 to Maryland-Eastern Shore in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play Saturday (Feb. 19th) at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

South Carolina State celebrated with the “Pink Game” honoring Breast Cancer Survivors, along with honors senior Shania Wright on “Senior Day”.

Nadia Reese added 11 and Victoria JordanJayah Hicks, and Nicole Gwynn each added nine (9) points each respectively. Jordan grabbed a team-high 9 rebounds in the loss.  UMES was led by Brooklyn Bailey with a game-high 21 points in the win.

UP Next for SC State
South Carolina State will close out the regular season home finale Monday (Feb. 21st) when they host visit Delaware State at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men.
