GREENVILLE, SC (December 22, 2023) — Jordan Releford and Jhaven Meade each tossed in 10 points respectively, but it wasn’t enough as South Carolina State suffered yet another setback 43-67 to Furman in non-conference play inside Timmons Arena.

Meade also finished with a team-high eight (8) rebounds, while Jada Morgan chipped in nine (9) in the loss.  Despite the loss, SCSU showed progress in the paint leading the way 32-30.

Furman had four players in double figures with Sydney James and Kate Johnson with 12 each, while Jada Session adding 11 points and nine (9) rebounds and Sydney Ryan with 10 points and six (6) rebounds in the win.

South Carolina State falls to 1-13 overall, while Furman improves to 8-6 on the year.
