Orangeburg, SC (October 23, 2022) – The S.C. State Women’s Volleyball team played a dynamic match against the Lady Bears of Morgan State on Sunday afternoon inside Dukes Gymnasium. The Bulldogs fought hard, but fell short. With this loss, the SCSU drops to 0-20, 0-8 for the season, while Morgan State University improves to 3-20, 3-7.
The Bulldogs rallied for a total of 28 kills and .008 hit percentage. SCSU was led by Eleshia Thompson with 13 kills and .243 hit percentage. Semira Field also rallied for seven kills and Siela Avea with 17 assists. Not far behind was libero, Sierra Rosales finished with seven digs.
On the defensive end the Bulldogs rallied for a season high with nine blocks. McKinley Roach led the Bulldogs with 4 blocks and Chelsea Cole led with 13 digs.
