Fun, Food, and Great Golf Highlight 3rd Annual PAWSUp Golf Classic

SANTEE, SC (July 7, 2023) – For the third straight year, the Claflin University Department of Athletics hosted its annual PAWSUp Golf Classic. The tournament, which was held to support Claflin University student-athletes, was the highlight of a weekend filled with fun, food, and golf on one of the most beautiful courses in South Carolina.

The 3^rd Annual PAWSUp Golf Classic was held at the Lake Marion Golf Course, one of the premier golf courses in the state of South Carolina. The par 72 course features 6,573 yards of golf from the longest tees and has a 71.7 course rating with a slope of 129.

There was more than a fun day on the line at the 2023 PAWSUp Golf Classic. Prizes were awarded for the team claiming first place in each of the two flights as well as a second-place award in the second flight.

In total, 29 teams took part in the tournament in support of student-athletes at Claflin University. In addition to several participants, the tournament featured a host of sponsors. Following the day of play, participants were treated to lunch provided by Burgess Family BBQ & Catering.
