ORANGEBURG, SC (February 10, 2024)—Omar Croskey and Michael Teal each scored 19 points respectively to lead South Carolina State to an, 78-55, win over visiting Chicago State Saturday (Feb. 10) inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.

Raquan Brown and Mitchell Taylor both scored eight (8) points each in the win. South Carolina State improves to 9-15 overall, while Chicago State falls to 11-17 on the season.

A jump shot by Teal with 0:07 seconds remaining in the first half gave the Bulldogs an 17-point advantage 38-21 during intermission.

Wilson Dubinsky nailed a 3-pointer at the 11:48 mark to push the lead to 26, 59-33. SCSU held on to claim a 78-55 win in non-conference play.

The Bulldogs dominated in several categories on the day including points in the paint (34-22), second chance points (12-9), bench points (30-9) and rebounding (27-20).

NEXT UP: South Carolina State will resume MEAC play on the road in a two-game swing beginning at Norfolk State on Sat., Feb.17 at 4 p.m., followed by a showdown with Howard in the national capitol on Mon., Feb. 19 in a 7:30 p.m. start.
