Orangeburg, SC. (October 24, 2022) – The SC State women’s volleyball team returned home Friday, October 23, to face MEAC foe Coppin State inside Historic Dukes Gymnasium. The Lady Bulldogs lost 0-3 (25-10, 25-12, 25-11) to the Lady Eagles.

With this loss, SCSU dropped to 0-19, 0-7 for the season, while Coppin State improved to 16-8, 7-1.

Interim Head Coach Dr. Caleen Hawkins‘ team battled Coppin throughout the match but was unable to earn its first win of the season.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Semira Fields and Eleshia Thompson on offense. On the defensive end, McKinley Roach led the way with four blocks, while Kierra Rosales added seven digs.
