BALTIMORE, MD (January 8, 2023) —Four players scored double figures with the return of Lesown Hallums leading the way for the Bulldogs with a team-high 17 points, but it wasn’t enough as South Carolina State dropped a 85-73 setback to Coppin State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown Saturday (Jan.7th) at the Physical Education Complex.
Rakeim Gary added 15 points five assist, while Raquan Brown chipped in 13 points and nine rebounds and Justin Wilson 10 points in the loss.
South Carolina State falls to 3-14 overall, 0-1 in the MEAC, while Coppin State improves to 6-12 overall, 1-0 in the league.
UP NEXT: South Carolina State remains in Baltimore, MD to take a Morgan State Monday (Jan.9th) in another Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference showdown.
