ASHEVILLE, NC (December 19, 2023) —Omar Croskey and Wilson Dubinsky each tossed in 13 each but it wasn’t enough as South Carolina State dropped their second straight in an, 75-79, decision to UNC-Asheville on the road Monday (Dec.18) inside Kimmel Arena.

SC State falls to 3-10 overall, while Asheville improves to 6-6 on the season.

UNC-A finished with three players in double figures with Josh Banks and Fletcher Abee leading the way with 17 each, while Drew Pember added 14 in the win.

Despite the loss, SCSU led in several categories including Points in the Paint (40-24), Second Chance Points (13-9), Fast Break Points (13-6) and Bench Points (38-27).

NEXT UP: South Carolina State return home before the holiday break to take on Brewton-Parker College in an 1 p.m. start inside Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center.
