GREENSBORO, NC—Redshirt junior wide receiver Shaquan Davis caught a team-high six catches for 127-yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t enough as South Carolina State dropped their seventh in a row to host N.C. A&T State, 41-27 at Truist Stadium Saturday (Sept.24th).

Graduate quarterback Corey Fields, Jr. threw 26-of-49 for 316-yards and a career-high 4 touchdowns in the loss.

Junior linebacker BJ Davis spearheaded the defense with a game-high 17 tackles, while sophomore punter Dyson Roberts punted four times for 203-yards with an average of 50.8 yards per punt.

NEXT UP South Carolina State takes on intrastate rival and SEC foe South Carolina in a non-conference matchup Saturday (Oct.1st) at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, SC. The game will televise live on the SEC Network at 12 noon.
