
It was her performance in the women’s 400m dash that earned the honor for Adams. She placed fourth in the event with a 57.40. The time is currently the best women’s 400m dash time in the CIAA. She also placed 28th in the women’s 200m dash with a 25.82.
The honor is the first for Adams and marks the second consecutive week that a member of the Claflin track & field teams have earned a conference honor after freshman Jocolbi Morgan was named the Food Lion CIAA Men’s Field Athlete of the Week last week.
The Claflin University Indoor Track & Field teams will return to action, Friday, when they take part in the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
