CHARLOTTE, NC (March 29, 2022) – Claflin University freshman Zoe Adams continues to make a name for herself as she was honored as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Food Lion Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, Tuesday afternoon. She brought home the honor after a great performance at the Weems Baskin hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Adams put on a terrific performance on the track for the Lady Panthers. She ran a 56.32 in the women’s 400m dash. She placed seventh in the event, and she ran the best time in the CIAA and the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region. She also ran a 25.28 in the women’s 200m dash. The time is currently the second best in the CIAA and in the top five in the region.

Adams and the Lady Panthers will return to action, Saturday, when the team heads to Central, South Carolina to take part in the Gotta Run Invite hosted by Southern Wesleyan University.
