Adams Named CIAA Food Lion Track Athlete of the Week

CHARLOTTE, NC  (March 29, 2023) – The honors just keep coming in for Claflin sophomore sprinter Zoe Adams. On Wednesday afternoon, she was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Food Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. She brought home the honor after a terrific performance at the Weems Baskin Relays hosted by the University of South Carolina.

Adams had a great showing last weekend. At the meet, she ran a 25.22 in the women’s 200m dash. The time was the best in the conference and earned her a 20th place finish at the meet. She also ran a 56.67 in the women’s 400m run, currently the second-best time in the CIAA. She placed 12th in the meet and she led all NCAA Division II competitors in the event.
