CHARLOTTE, NC (February 9, 2022) – The hard work continues to pay off for Claflin freshman Zoe Adams as she was named the Food Lion Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Track Athlete of the Week for the second straight week. She brought home the honor after a terrific performance at the Camel City Invite.

For the second week in a row, Adams proved why she is one of the top track athletes in the CIAA. She ran an NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field provisional qualifying time of 56.49 to place second in the women’s 400m seeded finals. Her time placed her in the top 25 of the nation and it is the top time in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region.

The Lady Panthers will know turn their attention to the upcoming 2022 CIAA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship Meet, Sunday February 13th and 14th.
